Kinja'd!!!

I just put in new suspension for My ETC. All I just need now is to get the front wheels aligned and get my license, cruise in style, and enjoy the car until the engine goes critical. At least it will ride like it should.

Northstar V8s are the shit, does the ETC have a flawed one or something? I suspect much of the ETC will fall off or break before anything goes bad in the motor.

Classy ride, btw, I was a fan of these back in the day.

Nah, I've just heard that up until around I want to say 2002, most northstars had problems with head studs and cooling problems. Someone can easily correct me if I'm wrong, great engine, I will say that much.

I like those cars, but who thought of that name?

I’m seeing that now, interesting. Had my 98 up until 2012, was running perfectly. It does look like the head gasket issue comes from an intermittent manufacturing error. You may have gotten lucky and got one made by someone who knew what they were doing, or was sober that day.

The world may never know. Actually, I think this was Caddy's first attempt at going "Euro" by using alphanumerics and abbreviations. Although I think how the hell they didn't know that people would call it the "Etcetera" was beyond me. Even then people still called it the Eldorado regardless.

How ironic, my car's a 98 as well.

I’m just glad there was no “Seville opera sedan” or “Allante Sports and Performance".
